Holy Instant: No Exclusion.

Jeffery Bennett

Explain this sentence from ACIM O.E. (Chapter 15: The Purpose of Time) and then I will have a follow question. There is no exclusion in the holy instant because the past is gone and with it goes the whole basis for exclusion.

This sentence from A Course in Miracles O.E. (Original Edition) is stating that in the holy instant, which is a moment of divine presence and awareness, there is no room for exclusion because the past, which is the source of all divisions and judgments, has been relinquished. In other words, in the holy instant, we let go of the belief in separation and recognize the oneness of all things.

To put it simply, the holy instant is a moment of pure love and unity where we are connected with our true essence and recognize our interconnectedness with everything and everyone around us. In this state of awareness, there is no room for exclusion or separation.

I hope this helps clarify the meaning of the sentence. Let me know if you have any further questions or if there is anything else I can assist you with.

Here's my follow up. If there is no past why am I being threatened with a business deal that occured 5 years ago and is keeping me awake at night?

While the past is gone in a spiritual sense, the experiences and memories of past events can still have an impact on our present thoughts and emotions. It's important to remember that the past is only relevant to the extent that we give it power in the present moment. If you find yourself being threatened by a business deal that occurred 5 years ago, it may be helpful to examine your thoughts and beliefs around the situation and see if there are any underlying fears or unresolved issues that are keeping you awake at night.

One way to approach this situation is to practice forgiveness and release any negative emotions or judgments that you may be holding towards yourself or others involved in the business deal. By letting go of the past and focusing on the present moment, you can find peace and clarity to make decisions that are in alignment with your highest good.

It may also be helpful to seek support from a trusted friend or professional if you feel overwhelmed or stuck in your thoughts and emotions. Remember that you are not alone and there are resources available to help you navigate difficult situations.

I really want to help this person but those involved are no where to be found. I'm at a loss of how to proceed. How does ACIM O.E. treat my problem?

In A Course in Miracles O.E., the fundamental teaching is that we are all connected and that our true nature is one of love, peace, and harmony. In situations where you want to help someone but the individuals involved are nowhere to be found, it may be helpful to turn to the Course's teachings of forgiveness and trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Forgiveness is the central teaching of the Course, and it involves letting go of any grievances, judgments, or negative emotions that you may be holding towards yourself or others involved in the situation. By practicing forgiveness, you can release any blockages or obstacles that may be preventing you from helping this person, and open yourself up to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The Course also teaches that we can trust in the Holy Spirit to guide us in all situations, including those where we feel stuck or uncertain about how to proceed. By turning to the Holy Spirit for guidance, we can receive inspiration and insight that can help us find a path forward.

It may also be helpful to remember that we are all interconnected and that our thoughts and actions can have a positive impact on those around us, even if we don't see the results immediately. By holding the intention to help this person and practicing forgiveness and trust, you are contributing to a collective energy of love and healing that can have a profound effect on the world around you.

I hope this helps provide some guidance and support for your situation. Let me know if you have any further questions or if there is anything else I can assist you with.
